Ever since it was founded back in 1957, Fayat has continued to develop through its external growth and diversification strategy. The key to the Group's success lies in its genuine entrepreneurial culture, meticulous management and the extensive room for manoeuvre it grants its 152 subsidiaries across 120 countries.

Fayat currently does business in 7 main activity sectors whose complementary cycles make it extremely stable. After developing such new trades as road building equipment and steel construction, the group began to expand abroad.

Management team


Clément Fayat, founder

Born in 1932,Clément Fayat, who founded the group bearing his name, headed up his very first company at just 22 years of age. Self-taught, he began his career as an entrepreneur in theBordeauxregion (South-WestFrance) in 1957. As a man of growth and development, he now manages the largest independent group inFrance.


Jean-Claude Fayat, President

Born in 1958, Jean-Claude Fayat, the eldest son of Clément Fayat, graduated from the ESIM (Marseilles School of Engineering). As a shareholder of the Group, he started out as manager of the handling and lifting firm ADC (Ateliers De la Chaînette) in 1985 before taking charge of the whole mechanical and industrial side of things in 1991. Closely involved in the organisation, management and development of the companies, he became the Group's Managing Director in 1994 and President in 2013.


Laurent Fayat, Managing Director

As a graduate of ISG (Graduate Institute of Management) and born in 1967, Laurent Fayatis Clément Fayat's youngest son. As a shareholder of the Group, he has assumed administrative, management control and leadership responsibilities within the Sheet Metal Working division. He then joined the Construction & Civil Engineering Trades and took charge of the Foundations division (Sefi-Intrafor, Sotraisol Fondations and Franki Fondation). Today, he is Managing Director of the Group and, since January 2009, has been CEO of Razel-Bec.
