09|03|18 Fayat Metal to supply 29 overhead travelling cranes for Hinkley Point C in the United Kingdom
Following on from the Flamanville 3 and Taishan 1 and 2 projects, the FAYAT Group, and more especially its FAYAT METAL division, has once again been called upon for its technical expertise. On 29 January, a multi-million-euro contract was signed between FAYAT and EDF Energy for the supply of 29 overhead travelling cranes with capacities ranging from 10 to 300 tons, along with related services.
With COMETE, FAYAT LIFTING and JOSEPH PARIS, there are no fewer than three companies of the Group involved in the project, the design phase of which will be starting immediately before work gets under way in 2020.
“This contract confirms the close partnership between EDF and the Fayat Group for the supply of hoisting and material handling equipment for all kinds of nuclear power plants” declared Ken Owen, EDF Energy Supply Chain Director for Hinkley point C.
The FAYAT Group is very proud of this long-term partnership that testifies once again to its know-how in the field of hoisting equipment in environments with specific safety requirements, both in France and abroad.
