11|07|17 The City of Bordeaux has awarded to Razel-Bec a contract for the construction of the new bridge JJ BOSC.
The City of Bordeaux has recently awarded to Razel-Bec one of the largest urban development project in France: the construction of the JJ BOSC Bridge between the City of Bordeaux and the city of Floirac. With a length of 550 meters and a width of 45 meters, this bridge will be erected over the Garonne river within a period of 32 months.
The bridge includes eight supports in the water and two on the ground. According to the desire of the City of Bordeaux, the size of the bridge deck will be up to 45 meters in width in order to leave enough space dedicated to complex urban planning and intermodality.
Consortium: Razel-Bec (leader) for the civil engineering, Fayat TP for the earthworks, drainage works and roads and utilities, Sefi intrafor for the special foundations, ETPO for in-river works, Baudin Chateauneuf together with Barbot for roof-framing works.
The Jean-Jacques Bosc Bridge, as designed by Rem Koolhaas and Clément Blanchet of OMA architecture firm well reflects the new generation of crossing structure It includes several pathways suitable for various forms of urban mobility and constitutes both a link and a living space.
